Latest project

Here is my first try making pop sockets! I'm pretty happy with the results. I'll be making more now that I know about how long each take.  I made these for some dear friends who are all turning 50. 

Summer isnt done

It's hot and humid out. Gonna storm tonight, my son will be camping with his scout troop this weekend so I've reminded him about his raingear and boots. We shall see. 

I will be heading to a friend's house to scrapbook tomorrow, and then to RenFest Sunday with girlfriends. A "Me" weekend! A rarity these days. I need to bead. Or make cards. Or bead. 

I love my car

Last weekend I drove to Ely, MN with my sister to attend a scout event. It was actually an Order of the Arrow conclave. OA is the honor society of scouts. To define it in a nutshell, it's like what Fred and Barney belonged to on the "Flintstones" the Fraternal order of the Water Buffaloes.

On the drive up, my car turned 200K miles. I drive a 2007 Ford Fusion. I inherited it when my mom passed away in 2009 and she had 29K miles on it. I take care of this car, it holds a lot of sentimental value for me. 

I hope to have it for 200K more miles.

New adventure!

This week I am trying something new(to me). Canning! My kids LOVE LOVE fresh beets(I know, not many like beets) that AREN'T pickled.  I grew up with beets, boiled or raw, and lightly seasoned with butter and salt.  Reading lots of different articles, and calling my ex-mom-in-law, I decided to give it a go.  So far, so good. They cooked nicely, and the tops all did the *pop* seal! 

Sunday funday

Ahhh...  gloomy Sunday. It's cloudy and the sky doesn't know if it wants to rain or not.  I need to fill donate boxes and get stuff done. I found some angels hiding in a box. 

I'm considering opening a shop on Etsy.  Need to figure some things out first. Ahh....logistics. 

Looking back

I just picked these up from the boutique they were in. They didn't sell, so home they are. For your viewing pleasure. I think I will be making more over the holiday weekend.  School starts Monday!! I have one child left and he's entering 10th grade. Where do the years go?? 

Halloween!!

I think Halloween is my favorite holiday. I love decorating and making different crafts. Here are a couple different earring designs I saw on pinterest and recreated them with what I have. I think they turned out cute!!

Vacay!

I haven't posted in a while because I've been out of town and away from wifi.  I thought I would miss it, but I really didn't.  We're so attached to our devices and such, it's nice to just be at a cabin with nothing but a plain old radio, and doing nothing in particular.  

That being said, I need to post photos of some of my cards and more jewelry!  Tomorrow.  Stay tuned. 

Some cuties

Here's more earrings. I  saw some on pinterest, and made my own with the materials I had. When I figure out how to link the pinterest page, I will post it. I am still figuring out this mobile app.

More inspiration!

I don't limit my style, I'm always creating something different. Not just earrings, I also love to scrapbook and make cards. I will find some photos of both and post them.
